Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, seeks a Test Engineer to design and execute functional, integration, regression, and smoke tests for Pega applications. You will work on UI and API testing within an Agile framework, applying modern testing frameworks to ensure quality.

You will develop test plans, perform end‑to‑end testing, conduct accessibility testing with JAWS, and validate workflows in Pega.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Certified Tester – Advanced Level (TTA, TA, and/or TM) desired.
• 5+ years professional software testing experience including test automation and/or infrastructure development, test planning, test case design, test methodologies.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Permanent US residency with 3 of the last 5 years in the United States.
• Strong knowledge of functional, integration, regression, and smoke testing methodologies.
• Experience in test automation using Playwright, Selenium, JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar frameworks.
• Strong API testing experience with web services validation via SOAPUI/Insomnia or Postman.
• Strong knowledge of Section 508 accessibility testing and tools like JAWS.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with advanced queries.
• 4+ years using test management tools like Confluence, Jira, HP ALM, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience in SAFe Agile environments and PI planning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans and scripts for functional, regression, performance, and Section 508 testing.
• Perform regression testing using SOAP UI and validate Pega WSDLs and web services.
• End‑to‑end testing of Pega applications ensuring alignment with requirements.
• Accessibility testing using JAWS.
• Validate workflow implementations within Pega.
• Translate requirements and user stories into detailed test plans and test cases.
• Execute manual and automated tests and capture evidence.
• Document and track defects and support defect triage.
• Support User Acceptance Testing activities.
• Manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Apply standardized testing methods, tools, and procedures for comprehensive coverage.
• Escalate issues through project management channels.
