The Test Engineer II is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing validation activities, with Technicians as required, on construction equipment and related systems throughout the product development lifecycle. This role leads the development of test plans, Design Verification Plan & Reports (DVP&R), prototype build activities, and performance validation efforts while collaborating with Cross Functional Teams (CFT).
The Test Engineer II works independently on moderately complex projects and serves as a technical resource for machine-level validation, ensuring products meet performance, durability, reliability, safety, regulatory, and customer requirements.
Test Engineers also develop test procedures; design, construct and install test fixtures and instrumentation; collect and manage test data, write test reports and maintain test report files related to new product development and competitive machine analysis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Concept and Prototype Machine Builds:
- Gather parts and assemblies from production, engineering, or prototype build stock and stage
- Maintain build schedules and Coordinate resources from Product Design, Manufacturing, and Test & Validation that will participate in the build
- Assist as required
