Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a hands-on engineer to develop, operate, and maintain test facilities for liquid rocket engine development at the 4670 test site in Huntsville. You will generate test procedures, review data, and manage components and vendors to support high cadence testing amidst safety and quality goals.

The role requires a BS in engineering, strong fluid dynamics and thermodynamics knowledge, and 2–3 years of rocket engine testing experience; eligibility for Redstone Arsenal access

Qualifications

  • Strong project management, team leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Desire to take ownership of projects.
  • 2-3 years of industry experience in rocket engine testing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, construct, operate, and maintain test facilities to support development and production of liquid rocket engines.
  • Generate and implement test procedures involving high pressure gas and cryogenic systems.
  • Review and interpret test data to assess facility health and performance.
  • Specify and procure components and materials; manage vendors and subcontractors.
  • Plan and complete facility maintenance and new capability construction.
  • Contribute to schedule, quality, cost, and process safety management.

This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.Working with a small, hardworking, and accomplished team, you will focus on developing, constructing, operating, and testing at the 4670 test facility. These facilities support Blue Origin engines powered by liquid propellants. You will contribute to the progress of the test stand by participating in all aspects of hands-on engineering, and project management.
