Job summary

Micross seeks a Test Engineer responsible for troubleshooting, RF bench testing, and instrumented validation of semiconductor devices. You will set up test environments for ATE-based validation and work on FPGA/Memory/RF IC solutions for the test and measurement industry.

The role requires knowledge of high-speed interfaces, lab equipment, and ITAR compliance, with a background in electronics and related fields. This is a full-time, on-site position in Milpitas, CA.

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 1 year of related professional experience; MS preferred.
  • Experience converting IC designs into device validation vectors on ATE test equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and solve technical problems using lab equipment.
  • Set up RF bench testing and instrumentation testing.
  • Analyze specification vs performance to ensure product reliability.
  • Architect, design, develop and test FPGA/Memory/RF IC solutions for test/measurement.
  • Work with high-speed interfaces between FPGA, MCUs and PC.
  • Comply with safety and ITAR policies; protect confidential information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

We are seeking aTest Engineerthat will be responsible for the following:

  • Strong trouble shooting skills with a demonstrated ability to solve technical problems.
  • Demonstrated use of lab equipment listed (power meters, oscilloscope, logic analyser, multi-meter, and other equipment)
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, project oriented, team environment.
  • Experience in RF bench test equipment setup, instrumentation testing knowledge and experience using test and measurement equipment.
  • Analyze and evaluate specification versus performance to ensure the reliability of the product meets or exceeds the requirements.
  • Proficiency with ATE equipment, relevant software languages and the various subsystems contained within is highly desired.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of circuit schematic design and validation of the design of interface hardware such as PCB DUT boards, sockets, evaluation, and burn-in boards
  • Semiconductor industry product development experience in military, aerospace, highly reliable products characterizing/testing digital, mix signal, RF ICs and components
  • NI LabVIEW IC electrical test development experience is highly desirable
  • Architect, design, develop and test FPGA/Memory/RF IC solutions for the test and measurement industry
  • Experience with high speed communication interfaces between FPGA, microcontrollers, and PC.
  • Experience with ADC, DAC, IC Temp Sensor, LVDS, SerDes, and communication interfaces (I2C, Ethernet, PCI, USB, SPI, UART, GPIB, ETHERNET)

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent and 1-year of related professional experience. Master’s degree highly desirable.
  • V93000 ATE or other ATE test engineering experience in Unix, Linux, C, C++ to convert integrated circuit design into device validation thru vectors implemented on ATE test equipment.
  • A demonstrated record of achievement and career progression over a+/- 5 year period across a variety of high variability, low volume semiconductor test, engineering and packaging operations in the semiconductor industry;
  • (Due to export control/trusted supplier rules)mustbe a citizen of the US and willing to apply for US Government Clearance levels as required;

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:This position is in an ITAR-registered facility, US Person (US Citizen or US Permanent resident) status is a must.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
