Job summary

Keytronic is seeking a test equipment engineer to design, develop, document, implement, and continuously improve test systems. You will train staff on equipment use and troubleshoot customer product issues, ensuring compliance with specifications and timely documentation.

The role requires knowledge of hardware and software design, plus hands-on use of instrumentation. You will collaborate with internal teams, manage ECOs, and monitor costs to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required; related experience acceptable.
• 1–3 years design experience in hardware and/or software preferred.
• Knowledge of structured programming; MS Visual BASIC/.NET is a plus.
• Experience with LabVIEW and TestStand recommended.
• Familiarity with electronic manufacturing processes desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create specifications with customers and develop test strategy.
• Ensure test equipment design is complete and on schedule for manufacturing needs; include hardware and software.
• Research new components and technologies; use various test instruments.
• Implement ECOs and train staff in equipment usage and new technologies.
• Provide manufacturing support and cost monitoring during test development.
• Communicate cost overruns and propose improvements to leadership.
• Collaborate independently or in teams to troubleshoot and optimize tests.
