Job summary

Apple Inc. in San Diego invites a Software Development Engineer in Test to join the Charging & Inductive Power quality engineering team.

You will work with developers on peak power management, dynamic power budgeting, and battery health interactions across multiple platforms, building automated test strategies and tools. The role emphasizes end-to-end testing of low-level energy technologies, kernel drivers, telemetry, and fault-injection capabilities, while influencing testability in firmware

Qualifications

Minimum 4 to 5 years of software development experience.
Proficiency in C and C++ with strong debugging skills.
Experience in writing Python tests and test frameworks.
Experience with embedded architectures and firmware testing.
Familiarity with computer architecture and operating systems concepts.
Strong collaboration and communication within large cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Develop test frameworks, tools, and automation.
Triage, debug, and maintain existing test suites and automation.
Collaborate with developers and other quality engineers to meet objectives and solve complex problems.
