Dell Technologies is seeking a Test Engineer to join the Manufacturing Engineering team in Franklin, MA. You will develop and document test plans for hardware and solutions products, partner with the test team during execution, and report results to development engineers and leadership.

Essential qualifications include an associate degree in electronics or CS and strong troubleshooting; desirable degrees and familiarity with Linux.

Test Engineer

We’re a team of expert engineers responsible for the development of test cases and test tools to ensure the functionality and compatibility of our products. We’re involved in the whole testing process from preparing test and diagnostic programs to recommending changes in testing equipment procedures and designing new testing equipment.

What you’ll achieve

As a Test Engineer, you will develop and document test plans for newly developed or current hardware and solutions products. You will partner with a test team during test execution and report results to development engineers and leadership. Finally, you will work with external validation partners to develop comprehensive test plans and test coverage across multiple test organizations.

You will:

  • Provide test engineering support for manufacturing test processes, including weekends as needed
  • Assist in collecting test requirements and creating basic test plans and test cases
  • Follow risk management plans and execute test automation scripts
  • Document test execution progress and issues
  • Mentor and share best practices with test technicians

Essential Requirements
  • Associate’s degree in electronics, Computer Science, or a related field

  • Understanding of computer network fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents

  • Familiarity with Linux operating system, commands, and utilities

Compensation

  • Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The TTC (Total Target Compensation) for this position is $69,360-$95,370
