Job summary

CNH Industrial is seeking a Testing Engineer to execute tests and evaluate quality of division products in lab and field environments. You will develop, maintain, and update test procedures for current and new products.

You will lead test plans, document results, and train teammates while staying abreast of new engineering methods and ISO standards. A driver’s license and ability to travel are required.

Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field (C/E/M),
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including defect documentation and test reporting
  • Ability to safely access and work on agricultural equipment in field and shop environments
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting of electrical and system integration issues in real time
  • Experience developing and executing test cases based on system and software requirements
  • Must have a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Document defects found during testing with necessary info for root-cause analysis
  • Operate large agricultural machines while performing testing activities
  • Identify and recommend test & production equipment, fixturing, or tooling
  • Prepare reports of testing data and provide recommendations
  • Train team members on test equipment and procedures
  • Keep abreast of developments in engineering design and applications
  • May assist with RFQ process for testing needs
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow safety standards

Job Purpose

Execute testing to demonstrate quality of the division’s products in both a lab and field environment. Evaluate system readiness, comprised of software and hardware variables. Develop, maintain, and update test procedures for new and current products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate test requirements, based on specifications, standard procedures, and internal/external requirements.
  • Develop test plans and procedures.
  • Execute and document tests.
  • Document defects found during testing, ensuring they contain the necessary information required to support root cause analysis
  • Operate large agricultural machines while performing testing activities
  • Identify and recommend test equipment, production equipment, fixturing, or tooling needed to meet product specifications.
  • Prepare reports of testing data, evaluate, and provide recommendations based on findings. Lead or contribute input for improvements.
  • Train team members on utilization of test equipment and procedures.
  • Keep abreast of new developments in the fields of engineering design, methods, and applications.
  • May assist with the request for quote process, as related to needs for the testing function.
  • Demonstrates support for company culture in their daily actions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow established safety and ergonomic standards.
  • May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.
  • Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.
Experience Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including defect documentation and test reporting
  • Ability to safely access and work on agricultural equipment in both field and shop environments
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting of electrical and system integration issues in real time
  • Experience developing and executing test cases based on system and software requirements
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of CAN communication is preferred
  • Well-developed problem analysis and problem-solving techniques.
  • Proficiency with a computer, including use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Team player who is self-motivated and has ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees and leadership staff.
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time both domestically and internationally as required
  • Familiarity with agricultural equipment operations and farming practices
Pay Transparency

The annual salary for this role is USD $63,750.00 - $97,750.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.). For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
