Job summary

Leidos seeks a Test Engineer to design, develop, and execute automated tests in a CI/CD pipeline within a commercial cloud environment. You will help streamline testing, reduce defects, and accelerate software releases, collaborating across Agile teams and DevOps practices.

The role requires strong automation skills (Selenium/Katalon), programming in Java/Python, and experience with CI/CD tools, AWS, and performance testing. This position supports the Intel Security Sector.

Qualifications

• Experience in software quality assurance with a significant focus on automation testing.
• Experience with creation, authoring, execution and documentation of test cases/result sets for software products in an agile cadence.
• Hands-on experience in designing and implementing robust automation frameworks using tools like Selenium or Katalon Studio.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java or Python enabling the ability to write efficient and scalable test scripts.

Responsibilities

• Participate in program Agile software development initiatives to support innovation and enhancement of custom applications through iteration/functionality testing within a commercial cloud environment.
• Participate and collaborate with team members to assess StoryPoint/complexity efforts to ensure proper testing and delivery of functionality per User Story Acceptance Criteria.
• Collaborate with team members to develop test approaches with emphasis on automation of recurring/regression test cases through selected toolsets.
• Develop automated test cases using knowledge of custom Applications through designated GUI/COTS products (ex: Selenium and Katalon Studio).
• Leverage DevOps practices to ensure repeatability and Configuration Management of test cases/scripts are maintained and continuously improved.
• Develop and document end-to-end functionality test case narratives using JIRA/Confluence and support performance testing/evaluation activities using tools such as JMeter

Job Summary

As a Test Engineer on this program, you will have the opportunity to design, develop, and execute automated tests to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications and services in a Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery Pipeline within a commercial cloud environment. You will play a crucial role in the software development lifecycle, aiming to streamline testing processes, reduce defects, and accelerate software releases.

Primary Responsibilities

• Participate in program Agile software development initiatives (standup, planning, increment planning) to support innovation and enhancement of custom applications through iteration/functionality testing within a commercial cloud environment.
• Participate and collaborate with team members to assess StoryPoint/complexity efforts (using best practices) to ensure proper testing and delivery of functionality per User Story Acceptance Criteria
• Collaborate with team members (Scrum Master, Product Owner, Software Developers) to develop test approaches with emphasis on automation of recurring/regression test cases through selected toolsets
• Develop automated test cases using knowledge of custom Applications through designated GUI/COTS products (ex: Selenium and Katalon Studio)
• Leverage DevOps practices to ensure repeatability and Configuration Management of test cases/scripts are maintained and continuously improved
• Develop and document end-to-end functionality test case narratives using task management system (JIRA/Confluence) and support performance testing/evaluation activities using tools such as Jmeter

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in software quality assurance with a significant focus on automation testing.
• Experience with creation, authoring, execution and documentation of test cases/result sets for software products in an agile cadence
• Hands-on experience in designing and implementing robust automation frameworks using tools like Selenium or Katalon Studio
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java or Python enabling the ability to write efficient and scalable test scripts.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub) and their integration with automated tests.
• Direct experience with software performance testing practices
• Experience working/testing within Commercial Cloud Platforms (ex: AWS) and DevOps tools, and working in a SAFe Agile and DevOps development environment
• Demonstrated ability to work within collaborative environment to execute test cases complimentary to development efforts
• BS degree with 4 more more years of prior relevant experience or Master's with 2 or more years of prior relevant experience. Will consider experience in lieu of a degree
• Candidate must have an active TS/SCI with Polygraph

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Katalon Studio and Katalon Runtime Engine
• Direct experience with AWS environments
