Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Application Tester for a government-focused test program in the IDAM/ICAM space, emphasizing web, mobile, and API testing. The role centers on automated verification, CI/CD, and cross-team collaboration with developers and QA peers.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years of QA automation experience, with proficiency in Selenium/Cypress/Playwright/Katalon and scripting in Java/Python/JavaScript/C#. Expect exposure to CI/CD tools and API testing with Postman or REST Assured.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience as a QA automation professional.
• Strong knowledge of automation frameworks/tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Katalon).
• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#).
• Experience in API testing (Postman, REST Assured).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps).
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Responsibilities

Leidos is seeking an Application Tester for a technical development program of 200+ FTE supporting the Sponsor’s Attribute/Entitlement Services within the IDAM/ICAM space. The Test Engineer will support the test of access control systems for a government customer. The successful candidate will support continuity of our customer’s mission by helping ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain test plans for web, mobile, and API testing.
• Execute manual tests to identify defects and report them to the development team.
• Collaborate with developers and QA peers to identify test scenarios and automation opportunities.
• Contribute to test planning, case design, and documentation.
• Support the team with User acceptance teams to include roles, test scripts, reporting results and scheduling testing meetings with the UAT users.
• Familiar with agile methodology and continuous feature testing.
• Stay updated with emerging test automation tools and techniques.

Required Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience.
• Software professional experience in QA with a focus on automation.
• Strong knowledge of automation frameworks/tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Katalon).
• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#).
• Experience in API testing (Postman, REST Assured).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps).
• Understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and Agile/Scrum.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Desired Qualifications

• Automation Testing - Katalon experience
• Good knowledge of SQL for database testing.
• Experience with version control (Git).
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, Locust).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
