Job summary

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Test Engineer for a contract opportunity in Littleton, CO. The role involves participating in requirements analysis, design, testing and acceptance of electrical and electromechanical test systems.

The candidate must have 3+ years of professional experience and an active Secret Clearance, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. This is a first shift, 5/40 schedule, full-time contract.

Responsibilities

• Participate in requirements analysis, configuration determination, design, alterations, material procurement, manufacturing, test and acceptance for electrical and electromechanical test systems.
• Mentor junior engineers, interface with customers and senior leadership.
• Create/update project/process documentation aligning to project requirements.
• Lead design, procurement, assembly, test and verification of automated test systems including data review and trending.
• Develop hardware requirements from subsystem to all support equipment test systems.
• Interface with suppliers, customers and internal design teams for cost-effective, low-risk solutions.
• Develop test system design documentation to communicate proposed designs to teams, vendors and customers.
• Support Failure Review Board activities through to closure.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

• 3+ years of professional experience for this role.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in requirements analysis, configuration determination, design, alterations, material procurement, manufacturing, test and acceptance for a wide variety of electrical and electromechanical test systems and multifunction integrated test equipment in support of the Program.
• Mentor Junior engineers, interface extensively with out customers, as well as senior leadership.
• Create/update project/process documentation that align to project requirements.
• Lead the design, procurement, assembly, test and verification of our automated test systems, including data review and trending.
• Develop hardware requirements from subsystem to all locally assigned support equipment test systems.
• Interface with suppliers, customer and internal design teams to provide cost effective and low risk solutions.
• Develop test system design documentation to communicate proposed designs to internal design and business teams, vendors and customers.
• Support, as required, Failure Review Board activities through closure.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Accredited Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education
