Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Ground Systems Test Engineer to lead testing, verification, and validation of ground systems for a next-generation Missile Warning satellite program at the Los Angeles area. You’ll work with Space Force customers and engineering teams to ensure mission readiness, with a hybrid schedule of 2–3 days onsite.

The role requires strong experience in defense test and evaluation, TEMPs, and system-level verification, plus the ability to coordinate with government clients

Qualifications

• 6+ years of test & evaluation, verification or system integration on defense programs.
• 5+ years supporting Government DT&E programs as part of LDTO.
• Experience planning, executing DT&E activities per AFI 99-103 and AFMAN 63-119.
• Experience executing tests, data analysis, and test reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing, verification, and validation of ground systems for space/missile warning.
• Coordinate with Space Force customers and engineering teams to identify issues and validate requirements.
• Develop and execute TEMPs, STPs, RVPs, and RVRs; report test results and recommendations.
• Lead Integrated Test Teams (ITT) and participate in DRBs and MIPRBs; conduct TTRs.

Join Booz Allen Hamilton as a Ground Systems Test Engineer supporting a critical U.S. Space Force satellite program at Los Angeles Air Force Base. You’ll help lead the testing, verification, and validation of ground systems supporting next-generation Missile Warning capabilities, working closely with Space Force customers and engineering teams to identify issues, validate requirements, and ensure mission readiness. Hybrid schedule with 2–3 days onsite per week.

Skills and Requirements

You Have:

• 6+ years of experience in test and evaluation, verification, or system integration on Major Defense Acquisition Programs, including complex space or ground software and hardware systems
• 5+ years of experience supporting Government developmental test and evaluation (DT&E) programs as part of the Lead Development Test Organization (LDTO)
• Experience planning, executing, and reporting DT&E activities in support of certification of readiness to proceed to operational testing per AFI 99-103, including test procedures and artifacts IAW AFMAN 63-119
• Experience executing tests, performing data analysis and reduction, and generating comprehensive test reports with findings and recommendations
• Experience developing and executing Test & Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), System Test Plans (STPs), Requirement Verification Plans (RVPs) and Requirement Verification Reports (RVRs)
• Experience conducting system of systems tests for space-to-ground or cross-segment integration, and organizing and facilitating Integrated Test Teams (ITT), Deficiency Review Boards (DRB), Materiel Improvement Project Review Boards (MIPRB) and technical interchange meetings
• Ability to understand and decompose system requirements and interface specifications, allocate requirements to testable elements, define systems under test (SUT), develop test criteria, establish acceptance criteria and success metrics, and conduct Test Readiness Reviews (TRR)
• Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients, FFRDCs, prime development contractors, and test organizations to achieve program goals, with knowledge of systems engineering standards including IEEE 15288.1 and IEEE 15288.2
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a technology field
