Job summary

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field
• 4–12+ years of system integration and testing experience
• Secret clearance
• Experience designing, developing, and implementing test methods and test equipment
• Experience in cybersecurity, specifically cyber test and cyber procedures
• Plan and coordinate testing schedules, labor, and equipment for standard and specialized devices
• Strong understanding of test parameters, specifications, and quality standards
• Hands-on testing of functional, performance, and special-purpose devices
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams to support product evaluations and test coverage

Job Summary

The Test Engineer designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment. The Test Engineer is also responsible for planning and arranging the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. Provides the test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed. Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area.

Key Responsibilities

System Integration and Testing

• Develop and implement test plans, test cases, and procedures for system verification and validation.
• Conduct integration and regression testing to ensure seamless operation of hardware and software components.
• Perform functional, performance, and environmental testing based on project requirements.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and support root cause analysis.
• Completing cyber tests and cyber procedures as needed.

Collaboration and Documentation

• Work closely with design, software, and hardware teams to identify and resolve integration challenges.
• Develop and maintain test documentation, including test reports, procedures, and compliance artifacts.
• Provide technical support for customer demonstrations, field testing, and operational deployment.

Compliance and Quality Assurance

• Ensure all testing activities comply with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Support quality assurance initiatives by identifying process improvements and implementing best practices.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field or equivalent combination of experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience: 4-12+ years of experience in system integration and testing.
• Clearance Requirement: Secret.
• Experience designing, developing, and implementing test methods and test equipment.
• Experience in cybersecurity, specifically in cyber test and cyber procedures.
• Ability to plan and coordinate testing schedules, labor, and equipment for both standard and specialized devices.
• Strong understanding of test parameters, test specifications, and quality standards.
• Skilled in compiling and analyzing test data to identify required changes in equipment, procedures, or processes.
• Hands‑on experience conducting functional, performance, and special‑purpose testing.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams to support product evaluations and ensure test coverage.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with automated test systems and scripting for test automation.
• Experience in a manufacturing or R&D environment supporting test development for complex hardware systems.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis tools or Six Sigma methodologies for test process improvement.
• Background in writing or reviewing test plans, procedures, and technical documentation.
• Previous work in customer‑facing test support or custom test development.
• Exposure to regulatory or industry compliance standards related to testing (e.g., ISO, MIL-STD).

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a lab, manufacturing, or field testing environment with occasional exposure to industrial settings.
• May require lifting up to 25 pounds and working with test equipment.
• Travel may be required for on-site testing, field support, or customer demonstrations.

Work Schedule

This is a full‑time position, typically working 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required depending on operational needs.
