Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to rigorously test software and hardware for a radar system used to track satellites and space assets. You will develop test plans, automate cases, and document results to drive improvements.

You will collaborate with testers, developers, and engineers, travel up to 30% to CONUS/OCONUS locations, and contribute to system integration testing from subsystem to system level, with Top Secret clearance required.

That’s why we need you, an experience d test engineer who knows how to thoroughly test sof tware and hardware and work with designers or developers to make sure our team releases the best product possible.

As a Test Engineer on our team, you’ll use your experience to work with testers, developers, and engineers to evaluate sof tware and hardware developed for U.S. Space Force which is used to improve the detection and visibility of satellites, objects, space debris, and track activity. You’ll create a test plan with test cases based on user stories. Using automation to streamline, using automated and manual processes, you’ll generate data and implement the test cases to observe how the sof tware and hardware performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the functionality.

You’ll automate continuous security and performance testing and monitor the health of the radar system. You’ll also broaden your experience in radar technology, space domain awareness, missile defense, and the space surveillance network ( SSN ) . Additionally, you'll support fault detection, fault isolation, and fault recovery efforts during system integration testing from subsystem to the system level. During, and following, all related system integration and test efforts, you'll also support the aggregation and analysis of technical data while providing key inputs to final acceptance test reporting.

You Have:

5+ years experience with software and hardware testing

3+ years of experience conducting formal requirement verification test procedures

3+ years of experience preparing test reports

2+ years of experience in the development of sof tware requirement verification procedures

Ability to travel to OCONUS and CONUS locations up to 30% of the time

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field

2+ years of experience with missile defense, space tracking, or satellite operations

Experience working as part of an Integration and Test team across multiple engineering disciplines

Experience as a member of a team integrating large, complex systems comprised of various hardware and software elements

Experience generating Modeling and Simulation ( M & S ) scenarios

Experience with international integration or testing

Experience with sof tware development integration and test met hodologies

Experience with large ground data processing system integration

Knowledge of Agile development met hodologies

Ability to support Integration and Test / Checkout ( IATC ) of Hardware and Sof tware Configuration Items

CompTIA Security+ Certification

The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
