Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Systems Engineer to help transition large-scale platform architectures from development to integration and test. You will work with the U.S. Space Force to deliver mission-critical solutions across on-premise and cloud environments.

The role requires deep expertise in DevSecOps practices, configuration management, and collaboration with government clients and FFRDCs to achieve program goals. A security clearance is required for consideration.

As a systems engineer on our team, you will work with Booz Allen colleagues and the U.S. Space Force to help execute transition and delivery of large-scale platform architectures across both on‑premise and cloud environments. This role directly supports mission-critical integration and test operations and requires deep expertise in modern software release and deployment ecosystems, DevSecOps practices, and secure multi‑tenant system operation. Other tasks may include developing and executing configuration management plans, technical assessments of software deployment processes, participating in integration working groups, and providing systems engineering expertise to the program office.

You Have:

5+ years of experience in systems engineering on national security space programs

3+ years of experience performing systems integration or software deployment processes on large-scale platform architectures

Experience performing system configuration reviews, configuration audits, or software deployment procedures

Experience using Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients, Federally Funded Research and Developmental Centers (FFRDC), and associate contractor teammates to achieve program goals

Ability to be highly motivated and demonstrate a dynamic work ethic and strong desire to contribute to the DoD mission

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics

Nice If You Have:

Experience in acquisition, systems engineering, or test and evaluation of the ground segment of a space system

Experience leading a team for development of integration and test plans and schedules for large scale ground systems

Experience leading test and evaluation programs for space or ground systems

Experience using Atlassian Jira and Confluence tools

Knowledge of DoD 5000.01 and 5000.02

TS/SCI clearance

Master’s degree in an Engineering, Mathematics, CS, or Physics field

INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certifications, including ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP Certification
