Job summary

Set of X is seeking an experienced test engineer to join our team. You will test software across telephony and networking hardware, generate test cases from requirements, and support research and development with systematic testing.

The role emphasizes Python scripting, regex-based data searches, building lab environments, and maintaining meticulous test documentation; a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a test engineer developing or executing test scripts and analyzing results in system testing of complex systems.
• Strong Python experience.
• Experience with creating and using regular expressions for data searches.
• Experience integrating new and old technologies into existing testbeds and networks.
• Experience creating test scenarios and analyzing procedures.
• Ability to manage discrepancy reports identified during testing.
• Ability to build, test, and maintain multiple lab environments with telephony and networking hardware.
• Ability to prioritize and adapt schedules to address issues and perform baseline, system, and regression testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform baseline, system, and regression level testing in support of R&D efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Test software following a formal automated testing method using various telephony and networking hardware spanning multiple hardware platforms.
• Generate test cases based on defined requirements and productfunctionality.
• Perform baseline, system, and regression level testing in support of research and developmentefforts.
• Analyze large log data sets and software test data while documenting results in a clear and concisemanner.
• Create test documents such as test plans, requirements verification traceability matrices, and testsummary reports, and provide analysis of test procedures.

Required:

• 5+ years of experience with being a test engineer developing or executing test scripts and analyzing results in while performing system testing of complex systems
• Strong Python experience
• Experience with using and developing scripts in Python and creating regular expressions for searching data sets
• Experience with integrating new and old technologies into existing network configurations and testbeds
• Experience with creating scenarios that support the creation of test cases and analysis of procedures
• Ability to manage discrepancy reports identified during testing
• Ability to develop, build, and test multiple lab environments using various telephony and networking hardware following formal testing methods
• Ability to set priorities and rearrange schedules to address unexpected issues, and perform baseline, system, and regression level testing in support of research and development efforts

Desired:

• Knowledge of Jenkins or other Continuous Integration Frameworks
• Knowledge of PyTest automation frameworks
• Knowledge of SPLUNK
• Knowledge of working in a Linux environment
• Knowledge of working in an Agile environment

Clearance:

TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
