Job summary

HYVE Solutions is seeking a Test Debug and RCA Engineer to independently perform system‑level debugging, validation, and root cause analysis on server, compute and networking racks. You will own subsystem investigations, build automation tools, and support manufacturing and customer issue resolution.

The role requires solving BIOS POST issues, analyzing BMC logs, and developing Python tools for automated testing and diagnostics. A strong foundation in Linux and server hardware is essential.

Qualifications

Position Summary

The Test Debug and RCA Engineer independently conduct system-level debugging, validation, and root cause analysis on server, compute and networking rack. This engineer owns subsystem investigations, develops automation tools, and supports manufacturing and customer issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities

Testing & Validation

• Validate BIOS, BMC, storage, networking, and GPU functionality.
• Perform reliability, performance and interoperability testing.
• Support qualification of new server products.
• Responsible for test process instructions (TPI) generation and production operator trainings.

Debug & Troubleshooting

• Debug complex failures involving: CPU and memory subsystems, PCIe devices, NVMe storage, Ethernet and InfiniBand networks.
• Investigate BIOS POST failures and boot sequence issues.
• Analyze BMC logs, sensor data, and firmware behavior.
• Perform Linux system-level troubleshooting.
• RMA support.

Root Cause Analysis

• Lead subsystem-level RCA investigations.
• Determine hardware, firmware, software, or manufacturing ownership.
• Generate formal RCA reports and corrective actions.
• Support customer escalations and analysis.

Automation & Analytics

• Develop Python tools for: Automated testing, Log collection, Failure analysis, Diagnostic automation.
• Utilize MySQL databases for: Yield analysis, Failure trending, Reliability reporting.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 3-7 years of server validation, debugging, or reliability engineering experience.

Technical Skills

• Server platform architecture.
• BIOS, UEFI, and boot flow analysis.
• BMC, IPMI, and Redfish management.
• Linux administration and debugging.
• PCIe Gen4/5/6, DDR4/DDR5, NVMe technologies.
• Python automation development.
• MySQL database analysis.
• InfiniBand and fiber networking fundamentals.

Compensation

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $70,000-$95,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and business needs.
