Position Summary
Responsible for installation, safe operation and removal of turbine engines and associated balance of plant equipment during both normal test and emergency situations. This position performs troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify and resolve equipment or operational abnormalities, monitors operations for engineering and diagnostics review, and maintains the test stand and repair equipment as needed.

Position Responsibilities
- Inspect, repair, install and remove LM6000 engines for test including instrumentation hookup, generator alignment and mechanical tasks.
- Maintain mechanical skids, fin‑fan coolers, demin water tanks, instrumentation air and natural gas compressors.
- Conduct electrical and electronic systems inspection, calibration and tests to ensure plant operates within specified parameters.
- Respond to electronic and electrical malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
- Ensure data quality and analyze trends to identify potential failures, certifying plant operates at optimal efficiency.
- Maintain voltage schedule and unit output within the generator capability curve.
- Monitor engine operation to assure all support equipment operates within design scope.
- Operate and control the engine through test procedures to ensure product quality and serviceability.
- Investigate conditions detrimental to unit operations and initiate corrective actions.
- Determine the nature and cause of trouble from available evidence and take corrective action to maintain safe operating conditions.
- Perform maintenance activities such as calibration, balance and alignment inspections, lubrication, etc.
- Assist in troubleshooting and repairing turbine controls, generator load bank and plant distribution control systems.
- Assist TC/IC personnel with safe and reliable operation of the DCS.
- Help develop, review, and revise departmental procedures, logs, and summaries.
- Participate in programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness.
- Be available for overtime work on a scheduled or call‑in basis as required.
- Maintain safe professional conduct and comply with OSHA, EPA, DOT, state and federal regulations.
- Be an experienced, well‑rounded, aggressive, self‑starting, team‑minded individual committed to company values and policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and five (5) years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the power or aviation industry.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical one‑lines, logic drawings, technical manuals, I/O lists, etc.
- Fluent English speaking, reading and writing skills.
- US work authorization required; sponsorship not accepted.
- Successful completion of pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
Desired Qualifications
- Five or more years’ experience with LM6000 Power Plant or CF6 Aviation strongly preferred.
- Five or more years’ experience operating a power plant or related HVAC industry.
- Associate degree or equivalent military experience preferred.
- Experience with component alignment, vibration systems, and balance.
- Strong multi‑tasking and high‑pressure situation management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, computer, and problem‑solving skills.
- High initiative and strong motivation.
- Detail orientation while handling multiple projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Understanding of electrical equipment operation and maintenance requirements under safety and environmental regulations.
- Technical competence in software, hardware, networks, etc.
- Availability to work flexible schedules in tight quarters and extreme temperatures.
