Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and execute automated tests using Selenium and C# under guidance.
• Add new automation code and improve the existing framework.
• Review automated test results, document failures or regressions, and escalate issues.
• Review user stories and acceptance criteria for testability, updating automation accordingly.
• Refactor initialization logic and remove duplicate or outdated code.
• Support Salesforce test-automation migration efforts.
• Upgrade the Selenium automation framework from SpecFlow to Reqnroll and update .NET versions.
• Research and configure Outlook on the web to test emails generated by automated tests.
• Collaborate with developers, Product Owners, Scrum Teams, and end users to understand requirements and communicate progress.
• Document testing activities, code changes, findings, and questions while following coding standards and traceability in Azure DevOps.
• Execute manual testing when requested and report identified issues.
• Represent ARAG positively and perform other duties as assigned.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing, modifying, and executing automated tests using Selenium and C# under guidance, including adding new automation code and improving the existing framework.
• Reviewing automated test results, identifying and documenting failures or regressions, and escalating issues as needed.
• Reviewing user stories and acceptance criteria for testability and updating automation to support approved requirements.
• Refactoring initialization logic and removing duplicate, unused, or outdated code.
• Supporting Salesforce test-automation migration efforts.
• Assisting with upgrading the Selenium automation framework from SpecFlow to Reqnroll and updating to newer .NET framework versions.
• Researching and configuring Outlook on the web to support testing and analysis of emails generated by automated tests.
• Collaborating with developers, Product Owners, Scrum Teams, and end users to understand requirements, run test plans, and communicate progress and findings.
• Documenting testing activities, code changes, findings, and open questions while following coding standards and maintaining traceability in Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• Executing manual testing when requested and tracking and reporting identified issues.
• Representing ARAG positively and performing other duties as assigned.

About You

The company is looking for candidates with:

• Understanding of the application development lifecycle and quality assurance roles.
• Basic to intermediate C# programming knowledge and familiarity with Visual Studio.
• Exposure to Selenium WebDriver or other automated testing tools.
• Basic understanding of .NET and application framework upgrades.
• Ability to read, troubleshoot, refactor, and clean up existing codebases.
• Experience testing web-based applications.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing (GUI, database, service), and User Acceptance Testing concepts.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow coding standards.
• Ability to document work clearly and communicate effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and cooperation.
• Willingness to learn new tools and technologies and work with existing codebases.
• Ability to multitask and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred qualifications include interest in test automation and QA processes, familiarity with Azure DevOps, SpecFlow, Reqnroll, Gherkin, BDD concepts, Salesforce, LambdaTest/TestMu, Cucumber, Git, SQL, load and performance testing, and experience with AI-assisted coding tools.
• Must have or be pursuing a four-year college education or equivalent in IT or related field and be in good academic standing.
• Coursework or practical experience with C#, Visual Studio, object-oriented programming, software testing, or development is preferred.
