Job summary

Lumiture in the United States is seeking an entry-level Automation Testing Engineer to help build high-quality, reliable digital products through modern test automation practices. This role is ideal for problem-solvers who want to grow in automation, quality engineering, and agile delivery.

You’ll design, develop, and execute automated tests focusing on BDD and Gherkin scripting, collaborating with developers, analysts, and product teams to ensure applications perform as expected and meet

Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business IT/MIS, or a related field.
  • Exposure to or hands-on experience with test automation.
  • Familiarity with BDD concepts and Gherkin scripting language.
  • Understanding of software testing fundamentals, including test cases, defect tracking, regression testing.
  • Familiarity with agile development environments and the software development lifecycle.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for building reliable, high-quality solutions.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Learner mindset - curious, adaptable, and motivated to grow in automation and quality engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using BDD frameworks and Gherkin syntax.
  • Translate business and functional requirements into Given / When / Then scenarios.
  • Support functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across applications and platforms.
  • Partner with developers, analysts, and other team members to identify defects, validate fixes, and improve software quality.
  • Contribute to test planning, test case development, and test documentation as part of the overall quality assurance process.
  • Help improve automation coverage, testing efficiency, and repeatability across releases.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, and retrospectives.
  • Support the software development lifecycle through testing, documentation, defect tracking, and continuous improvement.
  • Learn and apply best practices in automation engineering, quality assurance, and modern delivery methods.
