Job summary

Job description

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain test specifications, test cases, and regression test sets for new hardware component and software releases.
• Propose and create procedures to uncover product errors and execute regression tests to minimize discrepancies between specified and implemented functions.
• Review requirements and design documents to ensure testability and gain familiarity with products.
• Design test plans of low to medium complexity.
• Write and execute medium‑complexity test cases, analyze results, and log findings.
• Coordinate testing of hardware/software components for small projects, as needed.
• Participate in and contribute to testing process improvement efforts.
• Assist in the implementation of test automation tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in a development or testing environment, with at least 1 year focused on testing.
• Hands‑on experience working in Linux environments.
• Strong understanding of Python and shell scripting.
• Experience with Ansible and CI/CD tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java or C++ programming.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks such as Robot Framework.

Salary

Yearly salary range in Virginia: $82,361.00 USD – $152,955.00 USD. Compensation may vary based on factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
