Apple Inc. in Cupertino, California is seeking a Quality & Test Automation Engineer – Developer Experience to design, maintain, and extend automated tests and tooling for Xcode and Instruments.

You will work with a Xcode feature team to improve coverage across OS, compiler, and runtime boundaries. The role requires a BS in Computer Science or equivalent, strong Swift and/or Python scripting, and experience writing test plans, reproducing defects, and debugging.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in Swift and/or Python or scripting.
• Experience writing and executing test plans for complex software systems.
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience with UI framework testing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Xcode team to extend automated testing coverage.
• Develop testing strategies that maximize coverage with minimal manual intervention.
• Reason about failure modes spanning OS, compiler, and runtime boundaries.
