Job summary

Apple in Seattle is seeking a software quality engineer to develop and automate tests and work on performance characterization tests for its networking stacks across devices. The role requires debugging complex and layered software, designing analysis and visualization tools to improve screening process efficiency, and collaborating with multiple teams in a dynamic and innovative environment.

You will work with strong Python and C/C++ skills, develop scripts and tools, and contribute to shipping

Qualifications

• Experience debugging problems in a highly concurrent environment
• Familiarity with the TCP/IP suite of protocols

• Ability to stay focused and prioritize a heavy workload while achieving extraordinary quality
• Experience with system performance characterization
• Innovative, flexible, and results oriented with a positive attitude
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent

Networking group develops control plane and data plane Networking stacks for Apple’s innovative including iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod, and Mac OS. Leveraging adaptive machine learning techniques this group continuously improves the user’s Network connectivity experience.

Compensation & Benefits

Base pay range: $131,500.00 – $243,300.00, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to base pay, employees may become shareholders through discretionary employee stock programs, restricted stock unit awards, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. The role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commission payments, and relocation assistance.
