Job summary

BlackCube Labs, based in Plano, TX, is seeking a Test Automation Engineer for a 6-month onsite assignment. You will design and implement automated test suites across UI and API layers using Selenium, Cucumber, Java, TypeScript, and Playwright, with emphasis on CI/CD integration and regression testing.

The role requires strong domain knowledge in P&C insurance, excellent collaboration with product, tech, and vendor teams, and the ability to lead distributed testing activities through the release

Qualifications

• 10+ years of testing experience in functional and automation testing (Selenium, Cucumber, Java, TypeScript).
• 2+ years in Playwright automation; build and maintain scripts from scratch.
• Strong API testing with Postman/Rest Assured.
• Evaluate automation feasibility UI vs API vs manual.
• CI/CD integration for scheduled automation and regression.
• Lead distributed testing teams across the lifecycle.
• Insurance domain knowledge (P&C) incl policy administration, underwriting, billing, claims.
• Excellent stakeholder management and risk handling.
• Coordinate with business, product, technology, vendor teams for releases.
• Define test plans, environments, data, and metrics.
• Adapt to new automation tools/frameworks.

Job description

Job Title : Test Automation Engineer

Location : Plano, TX (Onsite)

Duration : 6 Months

Salary Range: $40.00 - $42.00/Hour on W2 (Without Benefits).

Applicants must be willing to work on W2.

Role Description:

• 10+ Testing Experience with Functional and Automation Testing – Selenium, Cucumber, Java, TypeScript.
• At least 2+ Years Experience with Playwright Automation, being able to independently work on building automation scripts from scratch and maintaining existing scripts using this framework.
• Good knowledge and hands-on experience on service/API testing – Postman / Rest Assured.
• Capable of efficiently evaluating automation feasibility UI vs API vs Manual.
• Experience with CI/CD integration for scheduled automation and regression.
• Lead distributed functional, integration, automation and regression testing teams across the implementation lifecycle.
• Strong P&C insurance domain knowledge, including policy administration, underwriting, rating, billing, claims, and integrations.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, risk management, and problem-solving skills.
• Coordinate with business, product, technology, vendor, and program teams to support successful releases and go-live readiness.
• Define test plans, scope, entry/exit criteria, environments, test data, schedules, and quality metrics.
• Should be capable of adapting to new automation tools and frameworks.
