Responsibilities

1. Test Automation Development: Design and implement automated test scripts for database validation. Use tools like SQL, Python, WebDriver (with DB connectors), or specialized DB testing tools.
2. Data Validation: Verify data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across systems. Validate ETL processes and data transformations.
3. Performance Testing: Test database performance under load. Identify slow queries and optimize them.
4. Schema Validation: Ensure database schema changes are correctly implemented. Validate constraints, indexes, triggers, and stored procedures.
5. Integration Testing: Validate DB interactions with APIs and mainframe applications.
6. CI/CD Integration: Integrate DB tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation.
7. Defect Reporting & Tracking: Log issues found during DB testing and work with developers to resolve them.
