Position Summary
Senior Test and Evaluation Support Engineer supporting the EPASS GB contract in Kettering, OH. Responsibilities include providing T&E support, developing test plans, and managing test execution.
Responsibilities
- Provide T&E support for product lines, capability delivery teams, and BES Test Services in accordance with DoW, AF, AFMC, AFLCMC, BES, acquisition, T&E policy, and standard tools.
- Prepare, coordinate, review, and approve test strategy, concepts, methodology, plans, processes, and procedures.
- Offer T&E expertise in DoW Adaptive Acquisition Framework (AAF) and System/Software Development Life Cycles (SDLCs).
- Apply Statistical Test and Analysis Techniques (STAT) and Design of Experiments (DoE) methods; support test automation leveraging DevSecOps.
- Manage and support test execution, data gathering, reduction, analysis, and reporting.
- Review, analyze, report, and recommend updates to KPIs, CTPs, and performance measures.
- Support system/software quality reporting, including tracking and managing software defect reports.
- Assist capability delivery team with Integrated Test Team (ITT) formation, organization, and operations.
- Prepare or advise on test criteria, computations, analyses, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports.
- Select and apply T&E techniques and procedures to evaluate problems and data.
- Evaluate results and conclusions from T&E tasks.
- Develop innovative approaches to complex problems and complete tasks efficiently.
- Assess test environment configuration and ensure readiness for software release testing.
- Prepare T&E segments of acquisition documentation.
- Support certification test activities such as the Joint Interoperability Test Center (JITC).
- Support audit and inspection activities related to T&E.
- Provide or support T&E-related training.
- Plan, execute, and report on Cybersecurity Test and Evaluation (CSTE) support, including FCAs/PCAs.
- Recommend improvements to higher-level DoW, AF, AFMC, AFLCMC, and BES T&E policy, guidance, and procedures.
- Participate in T&E summits, conferences, or meetings to present project status, accomplishments, and lessons learned.
- Provide test report support services and conduct technical reviews of engineering documentation (e.g., CORL A003) including drawings, specifications, reports, design documents, diagrams, and test reports.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship.
- Advanced degree (MA/MS) or doctorate from an ABET‑accredited program in Computer Science, IT, or an Engineering discipline with 10+ years experience (5 in DoW). OR BA/BS with 12+ years experience (5 in DoW). OR 15+ years directly related experience with 8+ in DoW.
- Advanced knowledge and recognized expertise in the software test field; ability to oversee junior and mid‑level personnel.
- Comprehensive understanding of software test standards, procedures, and practices.
- Extensive knowledge of software testing management and best practices.
- Familiarity with AFI 99‑103 for Capabilities‑Based Test and Evaluation.
- General working knowledge of DoW acquisition policy, specifically DoWI5000.75 (and DoWI5000.02).
- Experience implementing new IT/Business System technologies, including Cloud Infrastructure and ERP systems.
- Experience with manual script‑driven software testing.
- Experience with automated software testing.
- Experience in an IT system Program Management Office.
- Working knowledge of Agile Development Methodology (SAFe).
- Working knowledge of DevSecOps.
- Experience with Design of Experiments methods and concepts.
- Highly proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Access, Project, Atlassian Jira, and Confluence.
- Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized, and able to multi‑task.
- Impeccable verbal and written communication skills.
- Must possess and maintain a T1/NACI security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Atlassian Zephyr Squad Test Management for Jira.
- Experience with Oracle Application Test Suite (OATS).
- Experience with Bitbucket and Jenkins.
- Coding experience and working knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
- CompTIA Security+ CE or other industry‑recognized certifications in software testing (e.g., ASTQB CTFL). Certified Scrum Master or other Agile certifications.
- Detail‑oriented and thorough in spotting issues and verifying results.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and root‑cause skills.
- Persistent and patient when troubleshooting and reproducing errors.
- Clear communicator—documenting and cross‑team collaboration.
- Curious and skeptical, always testing “what if” scenarios.
- Adaptable and comfortable with changing tools, projects, or requirements.
- Team‑oriented but also capable of working independently.

Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm.
Location
Onsite at Kettering, OH. Travel: 0–10%.
