Job summary

Lehigh University is seeking a S99490 Language Specialist in the International Center for Academic and Professional English (ICAPE). The role supports graduate and undergraduate students with language instruction, assessments, and program initiatives.

The position reports to ICAPE within OIA and involves curriculum design, proficiency assessments, and professional development activities; a Master’s in TESOL or related field is required, with 3+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in TESOL, Linguistics, Education, or a directly related field.
• At least three years of work experience as a Language Specialist or in a closely related position.

Responsibilities

• Teach a minimum of three courses per 16-week semester (credit/non-credit) and engage in ICAPE activities.
• Submit grades and evaluations by deadlines.
• Assist with curriculum development, course design, and program initiatives.
• Stay updated on TESOL research, best practices, and trends.
