EDU-AIDs is seeking a dedicated ESL/ELL Teacher to join our West Haven team. The role focuses on delivering high-quality language instruction to multilingual students and creating an engaging classroom environment that builds confidence and academic success.

The ideal candidate will hold a TESOL/ESL endorsement and a Bachelor\'s degree in Education or a related field, have experience with ELLs, and possess strong communication and classroom management skills.

Qualifications

  • TESOL/ESL endorsement or certification required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Linguistics, TESOL, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of language acquisition strategies.
  • Experience teaching English Language Learners (ELLs).
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to work with culturally and linguistically diverse students.

Responsabilités

  • Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
  • Provide English language instruction to multilingual learners (ELLs).
  • Assess students' English proficiency levels and monitor progress.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to support student learning.
  • Differentiate instruction based on language proficiency levels.
  • Maintain student records, progress reports, and assessment data.
  • Participate in IEP, 504, or student support meetings when needed.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting English Language Learners, providing high-quality language instruction, and creating an engaging classroom environment that helps students build confidence and achieve academic success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
