TES Front of House Operations Staff

Join the Front of House Team at the Gogue Performing Arts Center! Are you passionate about the arts and creating extraordinary guest experiences? The Gogue Performing Arts Center is looking for enthusiastic, customer-focused individuals to join our Front of House Operations Staff. This is your chance to be part of an exceptional team, delivering world-class hospitality to patrons, donors, special guests, and visiting artists.

As a member of our team, you’ll be at the heart of every event, ensuring smooth operations and memorable experiences. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with ticket purchases, inquiries, and day-of-event will call services, both in-person and over the phone.
  • Welcoming and guiding guests to concessions, restrooms, and their seats with warmth and professionalism.
  • Acting as a welcoming ambassador for the Gogue Performing Arts Center, providing top-tier customer service.
  • Supporting events such as concerts, plays, musicals, festivals, luncheons, university programs, and facility rentals under the direction of the Director of Operations, Patron Services Manager, and Operations & Events Coordinator.

About TES: This position is part of Auburn University’s Temporary Employment Services (TES), a dedicated unit providing support across campus. TES offers opportunities to:

Essential Functions
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with peers, patrons, donors, and co-workers over the phone or in person.
  • Display substantial knowledge about GPAC events, performances, facilities, vendors, ticket sales packages, subscriptions, and policies.
  • May assist patrons with ticket purchases in person or over the phone via the ticketing system. Promptly address patron questions or concerns about the facility.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by displaying competence in use of correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Maintain professionalism and discretion in dealing with organizational and patron information.
  • Day of show assistance with will-call, concierge, event set up/break down, and house management, as assigned by the Director of Operations, Patron Services Manager, and/or Operations & Events Coordinator.
  • Promote a friendly and welcoming environment for peers, patrons, donors, and co-workers.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Expectations
  • Customer service and event operations set up/break down experience is required.
  • Working knowledge of relevant Office 365 software: Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote, etc.
  • Be able to bend, stoop, kneel, walk, climb ladders, and carry equipment.
  • Promote safe work practices and a safe environment for patrons, guests, and staff.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 20-30lbs.
  • Availability to work late nights and long hours.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of any concert/theatrical event operations.
  • Ticketing programs/software knowledge.
  • Above-average problem solving and communication skills.
  • Arrive promptly for shifts, dressed in business casual attire, presenting a professional appearance and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Attend all mandatory trainings.
  • Follow procedures set forth by the department and university policies.
