About The Role
Our client, a high-growth innovator in smart water management and PropTech, is seeking a Territory Manager to drive market expansion across key territories in Florida. This is a fully remote, field-activated role ideal for an energetic and driven sales professional with a background in plumbing, HVAC, building materials, or construction sales.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a go-to-market strategy, conducting in-person presentations with plumbing contractors and trade influencers, and cultivating strong regional relationships. Backed by a high-performance operations and logistics team, this is an opportunity to drive real impact in an emerging industry with a proven product and scalable infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive territory sales strategy focused on smart leak detection and water control systems.
- In-Person Engagement: Present product benefits directly to plumbing contractors, trade professionals, and installation crews-even in skeptical or resistant environments.
- Influencer Identification: Build relationships with key field influencers and leverage their buy-in to drive grassroots adoption.
- Territory Coverage: Conduct regular on-site visits to plumbing companies and trade locations throughout the assigned Florida territory. Overnight travel may be required.
- Follow-Through & Closing: Stay post-presentation to answer questions, reinforce value, and close micro-deals. Ensure seamless handoff to the internal operations team for quoting, CRM entry, and client onboarding.
- Client Retention & Expansion: Maintain regular contact with clients and accounts to drive upselling, renewals, and territory loyalty.
- Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with centralized sales operations to ensure accurate reporting, pipeline updates, and sales forecasting.
Key Qualifications
- 3+ years of outside sales experience in plumbing, HVAC, tools, building products, construction tech, or wholesale distribution
- Proven ability to influence trade professionals and present in unscripted, tough-room environments
- Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence in field settings
- Self-starter with the ability to manage a large geographic territory and prioritize high-impact visits
- Coachable mindset with a willingness to follow a structured sales process
- Must reside within the assigned Florida territory
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently within the region
- CRM experience preferred
- High energy, resilient, and entrepreneurial work ethic

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $60,000 $85,000 (commensurate with experience)
- On-Target Earnings (OTE): $110,000 $130,000 with uncapped commission potential
- Commission: Uncapped with accelerators for overperformance

The role is tied to a specific set of counties and ZIP codes in Florida. Candidates
must reside within their assigned region and be able to travel frequently throughout the area. ZIP code-based territories include areas such as:
- North & Northeast FL: Jacksonville, Lake City, St. Augustine, Fernandina Beach
- Southeast FL: West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Stuart, Port St. Lucie
- West & Central FL: Tampa, Clearwater, Bradenton, Sarasota, Fort Myers
