Role Overview

The Truck Tires business continues to grow in a highly competitive market. Continental’s advantage lies in its advanced technology solutions, which differentiate us from competitors. We seek a successful Territory Sales Manager to drive sales of our new tires for the replacement market for commercial trucks and trailers. You will act as a trusted advisor, promoting Continental products and services, integrating new technologies, prospecting new customers, and maintaining existing accounts with dealers and fleets. Our team prides itself on delivering the best solutions and thriving in a performance-driven culture.

Team Structure & Environment

There are approximately 85 Territory Sales Representatives across the US, reporting to District Managers and then to Region Managers. Most work independently, traveling to customer locations, dealers, and fleets, primarily from a home office. The team has a bonus program incentivizing volume sales and strategic targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Retain and grow existing accounts and acquire new business through strategic sales execution.
  • Build trusting relationships with customers via site visits and sales calls.
  • Develop and maintain sales activities with regional fleets and dealers.
  • Promote high-performance products and technology solutions, leveraging your expertise.
  • Lead the launch of new products and services, ensuring successful integration.
  • Monitor market progress, conduct analysis, and forecast articles.
  • Address operational and administrative issues, respond to inquiries, and prepare reports.
Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree with 1-3+ years of sales experience or high school diploma with 3-6+ years of related sales experience.
  • Experience in tire, automotive, technology, or related fields, or military employment of 2+ years.
  • Valid driver’s license with a responsible driving record.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform related tasks.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US (no sponsorship available).
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2-5+ years of outside sales experience.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Comfort with digital technology and software tools.
