Job summary

John Deere seeks a Territory Sales Manager- Construction Equipment to lead sales across Detroit, Lansing, and surrounding Michigan markets. You will drive dealer engagement, manage sales processes, and coordinate with the territory team to grow market share for compact equipment and attachments.

The role requires strong industry knowledge, relationship-building, and strategic execution with dealers, plus significant travel and remote work flexibility.

Qualifications

  • Experience with construction and/or off-road equipment industry and customer base.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships.
  • Ability to understand Deere and dealer business and apply concepts to strategic and tactical conversations.
  • Creative thinker able to identify issues and collaborate on solutions.
  • Strong time management, prioritization and planning capabilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% within the territory.

This position is eligible for remote work at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.

Your Responsibilities

As a Territory Sales Manager - Construction Equipment for John Deere WW Construction and Forestry located in Detroit, Lansing, Flint and Grand Rapids, Michigan and surrounding area, you will serve as the primary business lead working with dealers to engage key customers, drive the sales of compact construction whole goods and attachments, coordinate with territory team members, and support local/regional events and associations. In addition, you will:

Education
  • Perferrably a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or Engineering. Equivalent experience will be considered
