John Deere Territory Sales Manager - Construction Equipment - East is responsible for leading dealer engagement and driving sales of whole goods and attachments across the East region, with a focus on coordinating with the territory team and supporting local events and associations.

The ideal candidate will have construction equipment experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate Deere and dealer needs into actionable plans.

This position is eligible for remote work at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.

Your Responsibilities

As a Territory Sales Manager - Construction Equipment - East for John Deere Construction & Forestry located in New York, NY, you will:

  • Serve as the primary business lead working with dealers to engage key customers, drive the sales of whole goodsand attachments, coordinate with territory team members, and support local/regional events and associations.
  • Collaborate with dealers to manage sales processes and drive solutions.
  • Act as lead within the assigned territory to implement strategic initiatives with dealers.
  • Drive achievement of incoming and gross margin goals across sales targets.
  • Organize and execute input, production, and sales process training with dealers.Coordinate dealer use of product consultations and sales training resources.
  • Travel up to 75% mostly within the assigned territory

What Skills You Need
  • Experience with the Construction and/or off-road equipment industry and customer base.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated track record of building and maintaining positive working relationships.
  • Ability to understand both Deere and dealer business and apply concepts to both strategic and tactical dealer/customer conversations.
  • Creative thinker with ability to identify key issues and work with teams to solve problems using innovative solutions.
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and planning capabilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% mostly within the assigned territory to work with dealers and visit customers.

  • Effective relationship building with the Dealer Senior Management & their teams related to the Parts & Service initiatives
  • Effective Marketing, Selling and Presentation Skills
  • Experience with Sales & Marketing promotion development offers
  • Knowledge of Deere parts and service offerings
  • Knowledge of Dealer parts processes, systems, and procedures is desired for this position
  • Understanding of key financial indicators to make effective business decisions
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to translate business needs across Deere and our dealers
Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:


Perferrably a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or Engineering. Equivalent experience will be considered
