Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to maximize sales of Optical Communications products across Nevada, Hawaii, and Guam markets. You will build strong customer relationships and drive revenue growth by aligning solutions with market needs from a home-based office.

The role requires 3+ years in sales, strong CRM and Microsoft Office skills, and 50–80% travel. Nevada residency and a valid driver’s license are essential for success.

Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry. This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Role Purpose

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for maximizing sales of Corning Optical Communications products across the Nevada (Las Vegas and Reno), Hawaii, and Guam markets. This role drives territory growth by working across the supply chain with end users, consultants, contractors, and distribution partners to position fiber optic solutions and execute strategic sales plans. The successful candidate will build strong customer relationships, identify growth opportunities, and align Corning’s solutions with market needs to deliver revenue growth and strengthen market presence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet or exceed sales budget for all fiber optic products
  • Through regular sales calls, generate preference for Corning products
  • Ensure a balanced mix of sales call to end users, contractors, distributors, and consultants/engineers
  • Manage National Preferred Installers (NPI) contractor program and Consultant Program in territory
  • Coordinate joint sales calls with distributor representatives to maximize sales
  • Provide ongoing training to distributors and contractors
  • Timely documentation of meetings and maintain project pipeline in Salesforce.com
  • Operate within assigned expense and promotional item budgets
  • Effectively work from home office and conduct sales meetings 4 days/week (Office 1 Day Per Week / Field 4 days per week)
  • Maintain proficiency in the use of the personal computer through Salesforce.com, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Word
Education And Experience – Required
  • Minimum 3 years experience in sales, marketing, partner management, field or business development
  • Familiar with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) & Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be able to work effectively in an unstructured environment with minimum supervision from a home-based office
  • Must be based in Nevada
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Travel required 50-80% (Nevada, Hawaii, Guam markets)
Desired Skills

The range for this position is $77,145.00 - $106,075.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
