Overview

Outside Sales Territory Manager – Würth Wood Group. Territory covers from Southern Louisiana into Mississippi, including major markets such as New Orleans, Northshore, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Bayou region, Lake Charles, Jackson (MS), and Coastal MS. Office location: 19230 Hipark Blvd, Hammond, LA 70403.

Responsibilities
  • Own and develop a geographic territory by managing current accounts and expanding sales.
  • Serve cabinet makers, countertop fabricators, and related customers in commercial and residential markets.
  • Travel primarily on the road (approximately 4 days per week) with occasional Friday in-office callout days and 1–2 overnights per month.
  • Provide on-site product training and consultative support to customers; participate in vendor product training events.
  • Collaborate with Inside Sales and other teams as needed to grow the territory and customer base.
  • Maintain professional presentation, follow-up, and organizational skills to drive success.
Typical Customers

The customer base is mainly cabinet makers and countertop fabricators, with a substantial share in the commercial millwork sector (hospitals, universities, banks, government buildings, marine, etc.) and residential cabinet makers working with contractors on new builds and renovations.

Requirements
  • Two (2) years of demonstrated success in outside sales, preferably in woodworking or industrial/distribution.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay: $45,000.00/yr – $55,000.00/yr + commission (2% to 3% of gross margin for the territory) + monthly automotive allowance ($1,000/month taxable income) + access to spiffs and other incentives. Total first-year potential is typically $65,000–$100,000+ pretax, depending on performance and market factors. The automotive allowance is in lieu of a gas card or company car. Add $12,000 to the year-end gross pretax income estimate when calculating potential earnings.

Work independently to grow your market, identify top solutions for the company and customers, and deliver dependable service. Manage current accounts and grow sales and account size. Treat the territory as your own business and apply strong follow-up to become the company of choice for customers.

Work Environment

Live within a reasonable driving distance of Hammond, LA to commute when needed. Role involves significant travel and occasional office presence.
