Job summary

The Reynolds and Reynolds Company in Chicago seeks a Territory Sales Consultant to join our Marketing and Business Solutions team, driving growth in the automotive dealership market. You will manage the full sales cycle—from lead generation to closing—by building relationships with existing and new customers in your territory, with a target total compensation of $80,000–$90,000 in the first year.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
1+ years outside sales experience required.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to schedule time effectively.
Ability to create and maintain strong relationships.
Ability to travel, with hotel stays, up to 2 nights per month.
Must have a valid driver’s license with limited violations.

Position Description

Reynolds and Reynolds is seeking a Territory Sales Consultant to join our growing Marketing and Business Solutions team. Reynolds provides over 5,000 different types of promotional, branded, and printed business solutions to the automotive dealership market.

You will drive and achieve sales goals by building and developing relationships with both existing and new customers within your specific sales territory. In this role, you will handle all aspects of the sales process from lead generation to sales closing and account management.

You will receive a base salary of $60,000 and total targeted compensation for the first year is expected to be $80,000-90,000/year including commissions.

Training

Our training consists of time with experienced representatives in the field, online courses completed in your home office, and classroom instruction at Reynolds University, our award-winning internal learning institution in Dayton, Ohio. You will complete ten different courses at Reynolds University throughout your first year. Topics covered will include training on sales techniques, negotiations, dealership operations, and in-depth product training on our Dealership Retail Management System.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
1+ years outside sales experience
Must be a self-starter with the ability to schedule time effectively
Ability to create and maintain strong relationships
Ability to travel, with hotel stays, up to 2 nights per month
Must have a valid driver’s license, with fewer than 2 moving violations in the last three years and no OVI/DUI/DWI violations in the last five years
