Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II for Buffalo, NY, working Monday to Friday with hours that vary from 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM and rotating weekends. The role involves traveling to PSCs and client sites to collect specimens, verify patient data, and ensure accuracy across testing protocols.

You will work independently with a focus on minimizing errors, delivering excellent patient service, and adhering to Quest 5Cs—Customer First, Care, Collaboration, Curiosity and Continuous Improvement.

Qualifications

• Two years of phlebotomy experience required.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification may be required in certain states (CA, NV, WA, LA).

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen collections including venipuncture and capillary draws with high accuracy.
• Verify patient identification and labeling; enter data as needed.
• Prepare specimens for transport and testing per test orders.
• Utilize lab systems to confirm orders and documentation.
• Provide professional service to patients and clients; resolve routine concerns.
• Travel across PSCs and Client Offices within the territory as required.
• Maintain compliance with safety and confidentiality policies.
• Complete training and maintain phlebotomy skills.
