Job summary

Furry Fellas Pet Service in Rhode Island is hiring Core Pet Sitters / Dog Walkers to serve the Coventry area. You’ll operate AM and PM shifts with a consistent weekly schedule across Coventry, West Warwick and nearby RI communities.

Position emphasizes professional pet care, independent work and reliable transportation. Visits vary in length; mileage is paid and compensation is per visit, with opportunities for advancement as the company grows.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior professional animal care experience required.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
• Smartphone with reliable internet access.
• Daily access to email and the internet.
• Comfortable using mobile apps for scheduling, communication and visit documentation.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, punctual and dependable.
• Comfortable working independently and managing your daily schedule.
• Comfortable walking dogs outdoors year-round in various weather conditions.
• Able to safely handle dogs of various sizes, breeds, temperaments and energy levels.

Responsibilities

• Walking and exercising dogs
• Letting dogs out for bathroom breaks
• Feeding pets and refreshing water
• Administering medications (when applicable)
• Providing cat care and small animal care
• Scooping litter boxes and cleaning pet areas
• Following detailed client care instructions and documenting visits
• Traveling throughout assigned territory to care for pets in clients’ homes
• Taking photos and sending a visit summary after every visit
