Job summary

Hiland Dairy is seeking a Merchandiser Supervisor to lead a team of merchandisers across the Houston, TX area, ensuring products are displayed, stocked, and promoted effectively in retail accounts. The role emphasizes merchandising standards, safety, teamwork, and strong execution.

The supervisor will coach staff, manage territory visits, and coordinate with sales and distribution to meet account needs. A valid driver’s license and 3 years in merchandising are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of merchandising/retail operations experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or team-lead experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word) and merchandising tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching, feedback, and written communication on performance.
• Maintain accurate records of merchandising activities and territory visits.
• Schedule and assign work to ensure territory coverage and efficient resources.
• Ensure shelf integrity, displays, POS materials, and in-store branding meet standards.
• Monitor and enforce proper product rotation to maintain freshness.
• Ensure deliveries/restocking/display builds are completed on schedule.
• Communicate with sales and distribution teams to adapt plans based on account needs.
• Build and maintain relationships with retail account managers, store managers, or other decision makers.
• Resolve customer concerns or store issues professionally and promptly.
• Negotiate space, placement, and promotional support where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Ensure store and vehicle safety standards are met.
