Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Meet or exceed sales plan consistently.
  2. Solicit orders, manage current distribution, and develop new points of distribution within the territory to profitably grow our brands in line with our values and goals.
  3. Develop strong relationships with internal and external customers through effective communication, proactive problem-solving, flexibility, personal ownership, and a passion for excellence.
  4. Proactively solve problems and present solutions.
  5. Take initiative for self-improvement.
  6. Demonstrate organization in all aspects of the job.
  7. Use an effective sales process (Planning, Listening, Closing) consistently.
  8. Assist in developing and implementing marketing plans as needed.
  9. Execute tactical and strategic sales plans aligned with corporate goals.
  10. Review market analyses to identify customer needs.
  11. Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans.
  12. Communicate effectively internally and externally, using appropriate tools and technology, to provide timely and accurate information.
  13. Create and deliver sales proposal presentations according to company standards.
  14. Advise dealers, distributors, and clients on sales and advertising techniques.
  15. Conduct one-on-one product training for customers, highlighting features and benefits.
  16. Analyze sales data to support dealer sales promotion strategies.
  17. Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote products.
  18. Deliver sales presentations, maintain client relationships, negotiate, and close deals.
  19. Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and expansion areas.
  20. Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of competitors.
Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

  1. Bachelor's degree or 2-4 years of experience in outside sales, or a combination of education and experience.
  2. Proven success in sales.
  3. Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
  4. Ability to perform moderate physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
  5. Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
  6. Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  7. Understanding of customer needs and market segmentation.
  8. Willingness to travel up to 75% and stay overnight as required.
  9. Experience reading and understanding contracts.
  10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  11. Ability to interpret business periodicals and government regulations.
  12. Proficiency in writing reports and business correspondence.
  13. Effective presentation skills and ability to respond to questions from various groups.
  14. Ability to perform calculations involving discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
  15. Valid driver's license.
  16. Ability to multitask and stay organized.
