- Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans.
- Communicate effectively internally and externally, using appropriate tools and technology, to provide timely and accurate information.
- Create and deliver sales proposal presentations according to company standards.
- Advise dealers, distributors, and clients on sales and advertising techniques.
- Conduct one-on-one product training for customers, highlighting features and benefits.
- Analyze sales data to support dealer sales promotion strategies.
- Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote products.
- Deliver sales presentations, maintain client relationships, negotiate, and close deals.
- Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and expansion areas.
- Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of competitors.
Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
- Bachelor's degree or 2-4 years of experience in outside sales, or a combination of education and experience.
- Proven success in sales.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
- Ability to perform moderate physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Understanding of customer needs and market segmentation.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% and stay overnight as required.
- Experience reading and understanding contracts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interpret business periodicals and government regulations.
- Proficiency in writing reports and business correspondence.
- Effective presentation skills and ability to respond to questions from various groups.
- Ability to perform calculations involving discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized.
