Job summary

Olympus Corporation of the Americas is seeking a field-based Sales professional to grow and manage ENT and Surgical Endoscopy product portfolios across assigned territories in New Mexico. You will drive capital equipment, devices and consumables, while building strong relationships with hospitals and clinicians.

You will serve as the primary clinical, technical and commercial liaison, ensuring product adoption and adherence to company policies, with the goal of achieving quota and expanding the

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of prior sales or marketing experience is required.
  • Working knowledge of PC word processing and some analytical software.
  • Ability to travel within territory daily; occasional travel outside territory; overnight stays may be necessary.
  • Ability to work flexible hours (may include some weekends and evenings).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must adhere to all customer and vendor credentialing requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains knowledge of the assigned business and product lines, pricing strategies and proven sales techniques for surgical products.
  • Establishes or maintains field contact with key customers, clinicians and researchers and other decision makers in assigned accounts.
  • Achieves sales quotas for products within assigned business areas.
  • Conducts in-service training programs at customer accounts (hospitals, ASCs, and clinics).
  • Develops rapport with personnel and healthcare professionals at target teaching hospitals.
  • Establishes and maintains sales in accounts under regional or national buying group contracts.
  • Assists product managers on field projects including test markets, market surveys, product idea evaluations and competitive research.
  • Maintains written and oral communication with field and internal sales management regarding territory plans, sales calls, follow-ups, market potential and pricing/promotional strategy.

Job Description

Achieves and grows sales performance across assigned territories by managing both ENT and Surgical Endoscopy product portfolios, with responsibility for capital equipment, devices, and consumables. Maintains and expands existing business through account development, product conversions, and strategic customer engagement. Serves as the primary clinical, technical, and commercial liaison between Olympus and healthcare professionals, ensuring customer satisfaction, product adoption, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Job Duties
  • Develops and maintains an acceptable level of knowledge of the assigned business and associated product lines, business objectives, pricing strategies and proven sales techniques for surgical products.
  • Establishes, develops or maintains field contact with key customers, clinicians and researchers and other decision makers in assigned accounts.
  • Achieves sales quotas for products within assigned business areas.
  • Conducts in-service training programs at customer accounts (hospitals, ASCs, and clincis).
  • Develops rapport with personnel and HCP's at target teaching hospitals within their area.
  • Establishes, develops or maintains sales in all accounts under regional or national buying group contracts.
  • Assists product managers on field projects to include test markets, market surveys, product idea evaluations and competitive research.
  • Establishes and maintains written and oral communication with both field and internal sales management with attention to development of territory strategic business plans, sales calls made, follow up required, market potential and recommendations as to pricing or promotional strategy.
  • Assists in building and maintaining a high level of enthusiasm for products within their assigned area.
  • Plans their activity calendar and organizes time to achieve agreed upon goals established between the TM and Sales Management.
  • Assists in working major national conventions and local regional meetings as determined by Sales Management.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Required:
  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of prior sales or marketing experience is required.

Preferred:
  • Bachelors Degree preferred (Sales, Marketing or other related business).
  • Prior sales or marketing experience with medical devices or within a hospital medical environment is highly preferred.
  • Experience supporting ENT, Surgical, or procedural-based product portfolios.
  • Specialized knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and disease states relevant to ENT and Surgical applications.
  • Proven track record of sales success in a competitive, quota-driven environment.
