Description

We are seeking individuals who want to make an impact on the future of a successful, growing insurance company!

Responsibilities

  • Agency management of an assigned territory (recruiting, training, and supervising agents or sales representatives) including agency relationship and portfolio management, field underwriting, and collaboration with the commercial, personal, and renewal underwriters.
  • Develop, manage, and execute the territory marketing plan.
  • Travel to assigned agents and/or as needed.
  • Business planning and budgeting.
  • Meeting growth, profit, new business and loss objectives.
  • Line underwriting - Knowledge of commercial underwriting guides is necessary to provide technical support, assuring that Company policies and standards are being adhered to.
  • Meeting producer and policyholder service standards.
  • Assist in the training and development of new personnel and identifying additional developmental needs of existing personnel.

Requirements

The territory manager is a remote position with the ideal candidate residing in or near Georgia or Tennessee. Ideal candidates will also have the following qualifications:

  • Either 5-7 years of territory manager/sales experience or 3-5 years commercial lines underwriting experience, preferred.
  • Must be able to travel 60-70% of the workweek, with some overnight stays possible.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proficient interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
  • Efficient written and verbal communication skills.
