About the Role:

As a natural communicator and go-getter, you will be responsible for selling Convatec’s portfolio of products to drive market share within a designated territory. You are a collaborator who will foster team effectiveness and achievement of shared goals by sharing knowledge, experience, and information to optimize business strategies and drive overall sales within the territory.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop positive, collaborative relationships with clinical care providers, key buying influencers, including but not limited to Physicians, WOCNs, and other clinicians within the continuum of care, and targeted customers in the Acute, Alternate Site, and healthcare settings.
  • Develop productive business relationships with individuals who are purchasing decision-makers in targeted facilities within the designated territory.
  • Generate business with new customers through cold calling and lead follow-up, and grow sales with existing accounts and customers.
  • Present and detail Convatec products to decision makers and staff to help create demand, using appropriate selling tools, visual aids, and product demonstrations.
  • Attend national, regional, and local meetings as required, representing Convatec professionally.
  • Plan and implement product in-service programs for Convatec products.
  • Analyze territorial sales to target key customers for in-service programs.
  • Report results of in-service programs to the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Leverage existing Convatec Territory managers and distribution channels to promote a positive team approach within your designated territory.
  • Establish and develop relationships with regional distribution centers and regional distributors within your territory.
  • Conduct in-service demonstrations and sales, and work with distributor sales management to promote Convatec products within hospitals.
  • Assist Product Development/Quality Assurance and Market Research teams in beta testing new product concepts and participating in field testing of marketing programs, providing feedback for improvements.
  • Submit new product ideas to Product Development/Quality Assurance.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Regional Sales Manager and perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Conduct monthly sales analysis using CRM and sales reporting tools within your territory. Principal contacts include hospitals, WOCNs, surgeons, long-term care facilities, wound care clinics.

About You:

You will utilize strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills with a consultative sales approach to selling medical products into hospitals and acute care facilities. You thrive in a competitive, growth-oriented sales environment with a history of success in complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders. You are confident in building positive customer relationships quickly, networking effectively at all levels, and navigating committees with compelling clinical and economic stories. Excellent communication skills, energetic personality, and a positive attitude are essential for success in this role.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or RN required
  • Willingness to relocate or reside in the assigned territory
  • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license required
  • Experience selling ostomy, wound/skin care, or critical care products preferred
  • Experience selling to and through distributors preferred

Working Conditions:

  • Significant travel required, including various transportation modes
  • Work may include evenings and weekends
