Location: Northeast USA (Remote with travel)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Territory Manager to represent our company and drive sales of explosion protection equipment within the Northeast USA region. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-growing sector, leveraging your industry knowledge and sales expertise to support critical industries such as food/grain, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, wood and manufacturing.
The ideal candidate will possess strong sales abilities, a deep understanding of explosion protection systems and other highly technical industrial equipment paired with a proven track record of building and maintaining long-term client relationships. This role requires a self-starter with excellent communication skills, who can work independently while contributing to the overall growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Growth: Identify and target new business opportunities within the Northeast USA region. Develop and implement strategies to increase sales of REMBE’s product portfolio across various industries.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including engineers, plant managers, safety officers, and purchasing teams. Provide ongoing technical support and customer service to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Product Knowledge: Gain and maintain a deep understanding of REMBE’s product solutions, including equipment such as explosion vents, suppression systems, isolation devices, and monitoring solutions. Communicate product benefits and technical features to clients.
- Solution Selling: Assess customer needs and provide tailored solutions that meet specific safety and operational requirements. Guide clients through the selection process to ensure optimal product choices.
- Sales Reporting: Track sales activities, progress, and performance within Salesforce. Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis for management review.
- Training & Education: Educate customers on explosion protection standards and best practices through presentations, webinars, and product demonstrations. Stay up to date with industry regulations and trends.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the internal sales support and technical engineering teams to ensure seamless delivery of customized solutions to clients. Collaborate with the marketing team to generate lead and support campaigns.
- Trade Shows & Industry Events: Attend relevant trade shows, conferences, and industry events to network, promote products, and stay current on industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of sales experience, with a focus on industrial safety, explosion protection, or related fields (such as process safety, fire safety, or hazardous area equipment).
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of explosion protection technologies and standards (e.g., ATEX, NFPA, IECEx, OSHA). Previous experience with explosion venting, suppression, and isolation systems is highly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety, Industrial Technology, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Skills:
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a regional territory.
- Technical aptitude to understand complex safety products and solutions.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Travel: Willingness to travel regularly within the Northeast USA region to meet clients, conduct site visits, and attend industry events. Travel will be 50% within the territory.
- Certifications: Certifications related to industrial safety (e.g., CSP, CFPS) are a plus.
