Xylem, a Fortune 500 water solutions leader, is hiring a Territory Manager for the Northeast. You will lead a technical sales team focused on municipal wastewater, wastewater treatment, and biological treatment capabilities across the Davco and Envirex brands.

You’ll recruit, train, and coach a sales team to meet and exceed targets, while collaborating with marketing and other departments to drive adoption of advanced treatment solutions. Travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or related field; 5+ years overall sales experience; 2+ years in leadership or management roles.
• Deep knowledge of municipal wastewater and biological/clarification equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication with ability to present findings persuasively.

Job Summary

The Territory Manager (Municipal wastewater) is responsible for leading the technical sales team to achieve long-term growth and expand into new markets, with a particular focus on the wastewater treatment and biological treatment sectors supporting our Davco and Envirex brands. This role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, managing key client relationships, and ensuring the successful execution of initiatives that drive adoption of advanced treatment solutions. The Manager also oversees the recruitment, training, and performance of the sales team, while providing strategic guidance to meet and exceed sales targets. Success in this position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of both industrial sales processes and environmental treatment technologies.

This role covers the Northeast US territory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company's sales targets
• Monitor and analyze market trends and competitors' activities
• Manage and mentor sales team, including setting sales goals and providing training
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth sales process and customer satisfaction
• Review and improve sales processes and policies to increase efficiency and effectiveness

Technical Expertise

• Understand and stay updated on company's products and services
• Provide technical support and advice to sales team and customers
• Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to potential clients

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Science or related field, with 5+ years experience, with at least 2 years experience
• 8+ years’ sales or sales related experience
• Knowledge of Municipal Wastewater, biological equipment and clarification equipment.
• Strong technical skills with proficiency in sales tools and software (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365, CRM systems, SAP ERP).
• Experience in developing and implementing sales strategies and plans.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and persuasively.
• Experience managing Channel Partner Representatives
• A strategic thinker with a test-and-learn approach to marketing efforts and process improvements.
• Resource Allocation: Allocate personnel, tools, and other resources efficiently to achieve project goals. Balance competing priorities and adapt as needed.
• End-to-End Project Management: Lead improvement projects from initiation to completion. Monitor progress, address challenges, and ensure timely delivery of measurable results.
• Travel percentage up to 50% (overnight travel).

Salary:

The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000 to $130,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
