A Day In The Life

As a Territory Manager at CVRx, you will play a pivotal role combining market development expertise with hands-on technical support, ensuring the success of CVRx technologies in therapeutic applications. This dynamic role involves strategic planning, educational support, and direct clinical engagement. Success requires professional presentation skills, product knowledge, negotiation, and sales closing abilities to meet or exceed targets.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategies, including resource development and deployment, to meet patient implant and revenue goals.
  • Ensure strategy execution to meet metrics within the territory.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Salesforce, dashboards, forecasting, and CVRx business applications, and teach others as needed.
  • Maintain thorough understanding of physiological and technical principles related to CVRx technologies and therapies.
  • Support implants, follow-up procedures, and provide troubleshooting and technical assistance to healthcare providers and CVRx staff.
  • Handle technical inquiries, researching solutions to questions or problems.
  • Represent CVRx devices to cardiologists, hypertension specialists, and vascular surgeons, ensuring understanding of clinical therapies.
  • Provide on-call clinical support, troubleshooting, and in-service education for physicians and hospital staff.
  • Contribute to R&D through customer feedback on product improvements and new development ideas.
  • Follow sales management processes and maintain accurate device and programmer records in Salesforce.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • BS or equivalent in health sciences, engineering, or business; relevant experience may substitute.
  • 7-10+ years in the medical device industry or related experience in clinical, academic, and business development roles.
  • Experience with cardiology or related therapeutic devices and sales.
  • Established relationships with cardiology, heart failure, and cardiovascular specialists in Los Angeles Valley.
  • Ability to understand medical and surgical concepts and execute commercial strategies.
  • Knowledge of market competitors and device advantages/disadvantages.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Leadership qualities and ability to forecast and meet performance goals.
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and relationship-oriented.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%, with reliable transportation.
  • Valid ID for domestic air travel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Healthcare experience beneficial.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is a plus.
  • Experience leading field sales teams.
  • Proven success in clinical or commercial roles at CVRx.
  • Ability to liaise with R&D for product feedback.
Working Conditions
  • Remote office environment.
  • Interaction with internal departments and physicians.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
  • Travel up to 75%, including overnight stays.
  • Must be vaccinated against COVID-19 and meet pre-screening and credentialing requirements.
