A Day In The Life

As a Territory Manager at CVRx, you will play a pivotal role combining market development expertise with hands-on technical support, ensuring the success of CVRx technologies in therapeutic applications. This dynamic role involves strategic planning, educational support, and direct clinical engagement. Success requires professional presentation skills, product knowledge, negotiation, and sales closing skills to meet or exceed targets.

Key Duties And Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategies, including resource development and deployment, to meet patient implant and revenue goals.
  • Ensure execution of strategies to achieve metrics within the territory.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Salesforce, dashboards, forecasting, and CVRx business applications, with a desire to teach others.
  • Maintain thorough understanding of physiological and technical principles related to CVRx therapies.
  • Support implants, follow-ups, troubleshooting, and provide technical assistance to healthcare providers and CVRx staff.
  • Address technical inquiries and research solutions.
  • Represent CVRx devices to cardiologists, hypertension specialists, and surgeons to ensure understanding of clinical therapies.
  • Provide on-call clinical support, including troubleshooting, education, and training physicians and hospital staff.
  • Support R&D through customer feedback on product improvements and new development ideas.
  • Follow sales management processes and maintain accurate device records in Salesforce.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in health sciences, engineering, business, or equivalent experience.
  • 7-10+ years in medical device industry or related clinical/business development experience.
  • Experience with cardiology, heart failure, or related therapeutic device sales.
  • Existing relationships with cardiology and cardiovascular specialists in Los Angeles Valley.
  • Ability to understand medical and surgical concepts, active implantable device technology, and execute commercial strategies.
  • Knowledge of market competitors and device advantages/disadvantages.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Leadership qualities and ability to earn respect.
  • Forecasting ability and goal-oriented mindset.
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and relationship-focused.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% annually, some overnight travel required.
  • Reliable transportation and valid ID for domestic travel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Healthcare experience beneficial.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English a plus.
  • Experience leading sales teams.
  • Proven success in clinical or CVRx roles.
  • Ability to liaise with R&D for product feedback.
Working Conditions
  • Remote office environment.
  • Interaction with internal departments and physicians.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
  • Travel 60-75% plus.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and meet credentialing requirements.

Salary range: $100,000/year. Compensation varies based on experience and location. Eligible for uncapped incentive plan.
