As a Territory Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping customer relationships and driving business growth. From nurturing existing accounts to hunting for new business, this role is all about passion, performance, and partnerships with the ability to drive earnings and incentives! US Foods has a comprehensive training program for the Territory Manager position. Our leaders provide extensive coaching, sales tools and mentoring to ensure your long‑term success.
Be the Customer Champion: Own and nurture the customer relationship in a team based selling model. Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations and pricing strategies to help customers succeed. Drive Sales Success: Your success will be measured by selling to customers, increasing case growth, and acquiring new business. You will do this through delivering impactful sales presentations and tailoring your sales approach to individual customers. Effective time and territory management is critical. Team Based Selling: Work collaboratively with our Specialists to assist with top penetration opportunities and new accounts opening. You’ll also work closely with marketing, supply chain and customer service to ensure seamless product delivery. Lead with Insight: Develop new business by identifying prospective customers by utilizing market intelligence databases, as well as business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences. Delivery Resolution: Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department; troubleshoot any problems that occur during the order process (e.g., delivery mis picks, short on loads, stock‑outs). Competitive Advantage: Know the market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ products, prices, and sales; share information with customers as part of value‑added services provided. Stay on the Move: Drive your personal motor vehicle to conduct regular check‑ins, site visits and follow ups to ensure customer satisfaction. SUPERVISION No direct reports. WORK ENVIRONMENT Daily outside the office environment working in your assigned territory, visiting customers in variable weather and temperature conditions.
Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The initial expected base rate for this role is between $55,000 - $95,000
