Job summary

Intellijoint Surgical is hiring a Territory Manager for Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. You will be the face of the company, managing key accounts, training surgeons and OR staff, and driving adoption of our surgical navigation technology across hospitals and clinics.

You will lead multi-stakeholder sales activities, work with distributors, provide ongoing support post-sale, and contribute to ongoing product feedback.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of documented sales success in medical device or orthopedics sectors.
  • Or 8+ years of sales experience with a consistent track record in a technical field.
  • A solid understanding of anatomy is a big plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and expand key accounts: build and maintain relationships with surgeons and hospital staff, deepening product use.
  • Train surgeons and OR staff: deliver training to ensure safe, effective use and supporting select cases.
  • Lead and launch new business generation: manage complex sales with multiple decision-makers, demos, and contracts.
  • Support distribution partners: hold quarterly strategy meetings with distributors and reps.
  • Stay accountable: report on pipeline and utilization via CRM to leadership and peers.
  • Drive product improvements: collect customer feedback and identify growth opportunities with the Product Specialist team.
  • Handle inventory & logistics: ensure equipment and trays are available and assist with system updates.

THE ROLE: Territory Manager, Connecticut & Western MA

As the face of Intellijoint Surgical in Connecticut & Western Massachusetts, you will:

  • Optimize, maintain, and continue our growth trajectory within existing accounts
  • Build strong relationships with surgeons, their care teams, and our industry partners
  • Drive deeper market penetration through continued adoption of our innovative technology
  • Ensure that our technology continues to be the go-to solution for hip and knee replacement procedures.

THE DETAILS: What You Will Do
  • Manage and Expand Key Accounts: Build and maintain relationships with surgeons, hospital staff, and other healthcare providers. Work with current customers to deepen their use of Intellijoint products, provide expert guidance and training, ensuring continued customer satisfaction.
  • Train Surgeons and OR Staff: You'll deliver top-notch training to surgeons, nurses, and OR staff, making sure everyone knows how to use our tech safely, effectively, and independently. You'll provide support during select surgical cases and work with distributors or independent reps to keep clinical activities running smoothly.
  • Lead & Launch New Business Generation: You'll lead complex sales activities involving multiple decision-makers, generate leads, do product demos, work with legal teams to finalize contracts, onboard new accounts and their surgical teams, and ensure long-term satisfaction post-sale.
  • Distribution Partners Support: Build strong relationships with our distribution partners. You’ll hold quarterly strategy meetings and after-action reviews to make sure we’re all aligned and constantly improving.
  • Stay Accountable: Keep the lines of communication open. You'll report back to the Regional Sales Manager and your peers on new business pipeline projections and utilization using our CRM tools.
  • Drive Product Improvements: Collaborate with our Product Specialist team to bring back customer feedback and spot new opportunities for growth.
  • Handle Inventory & Logistics: Ensure equipment and assets are where they need to be. This includes delivering trays and consumables to facilities and helping with system updates and setups.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
  • 3 - 5+ years of documented sales success in the medical device, medical technology, or orthopedics sector.
  • Or 8+ years of sales experience with a consistent track record of exceeding targets within a technical field.
  • A solid understanding of anatomy is a big plus!
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
  • A valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to a vehicle.
  • A passport for occasional travel between the U.S. and Canada.
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Frequent two-handed lifting of up to 40 lbs. from floor to chair/table and from one to another surface at approximately the same level.
  • Sitting, standing, and/or walking for up to eight plus hours per day.
  • Able to wear 7-9 lbs of lead for extended periods while in the Operating Room.
  • Environmental exposures include eye protection, infectious disease, and radiation.
  • Able to navigate tight spaces within an Operating Room.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus in relation to travel and operating a personal computer.
