Job description

Job Title: Territory Business Manager

We are looking for a competitive Territory Business Manager to develop sales strategies and attract new clients. Here you will make an impact by:

  1. Managing the Dakotas and western Minnesota territory to drive and support growth with Neogen Food Safety Products.
  2. Implementing and executing business priorities.
  3. Delivering on financial and forecast expectations.
  4. Conducting business planning to drive growth with direct, indirect (channel), Key Accounts, and focused market segments.

The successful salesperson will identify new sales opportunities and close sales to achieve quotas. They will play a key role in increasing revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects, and managing sales of products and services.

Other essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Independently managing and growing business within a set geography.
  • Closing and growing sales through professional communication with existing and potential clients.
  • Identifying and resolving client concerns; recommending a course of action to alleviate these concerns in the future.
  • Expanding market awareness of our products and industry experience by communicating features and benefits effectively.
  • Maintaining records of customer communications and contact information as required.
  • Making technical presentations and webinars.
  • Preparing responses to RFPs (Request for Proposals) and RFIs (Request for Information).
  • Attending and participating in trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.
  • Applying knowledge of price calculations.
  • Researching market requirements and data.
  • Maintaining knowledge of competitor products and reporting intelligence on competitor pricing or marketing strategies.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of Neogen products.
  • Demonstrating and explaining best practices in installation techniques for all Neogen products.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed further include:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology, Science, or Sales (preferred).
  • Successful history of territory management and sales performance, meeting or exceeding forecasts.
  • Attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience using CRM software like Sales Force.com.
  • Experience with Solution Selling methodologies.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Travel: May include up to 75% domestic travel.
